Well after my morose navel gazing on Saturday morning, it was only appropriate that I let my hair down on Saturday night.

My new friend Steffi had kindly invited me to join her and her pals Fay and Rachel on a night out in Manchester. I met Steffi when she won Miss Sparkle a few weeks ago. She’s very bubbly and confident, as well as being as cute as a button. So it wasn't an opportunity I was going to miss.

Thinking about it now, I believe this was the first time since my early days at the Boudoir that I'd arranged to go out with people that I didn’t actually already know. It didn’t cross my mind at the time as the girls where brilliant company. They all looked great, where very amusing company and I felt like I'd know them for ages.

Once Rachel was ready (finally someone who takes slightly longer than me to get ready! :) we headed over to Canal Street to meet up with the ddg Myffy and her flatmate. (I must add that Rachel was definitely worth the wait though as she looked amazing).

Besides meeting Myffy and her lovely friend, we also seemed to bump into lots of people from the Roses who the girls knew. So at one point we ended up with quiet a gang which was fun.

We spent most of the night in the VIP part of AXM (thanks Myffy for that!) and danced our tushes off while working our way through the cocktail menu. The music was great, the bars really nice and there was a friendly, very cute crowd. Definitely somewhere I'll be visiting again.

And the icing on the cake was that my friends Mark and Mandie from Pleasuredome where able to join us too. It’s always a joy to see them and Mark actually made my night. While we were chatting about a stag do that Marks arranging, I mentioned that I was secretly quiet chuffed that I hadn't been included in the guys discussions about it. And Mark said, 'thats because we all think of you as a girl'. Cue big smile from me! Especially as they have met me in drab too.

The one thing that’s struck me about Manchester since Sparkle is that it seems to stop at 2am. Everything just closes down, which is quiet amazing considering, well that it’s Manchester of all places! 24 hour party people? I wish!

So we all headed back to the hotel to carry on the party. Only to be rudely interrupted at 4am by the fire alarm going off. Now it has been suggested that this was our fault, but I'm pleading not guilty m'lud!

A really lovely night and it was great to meet so many brilliant people. I'll be biting their hands off, when they next suggest a night out!
