Always a special day. Growing up in an Irish Catholic family, for me it was more important than Christmas. Not (just!) for the boozing but because on that one day, all my local family, my parents, siblings, cousins, aunts, uncles would all be together.

Being the day after my dads birthday also helped I'm sure!

My mum was always rather bemused by the fuss as back in Ireland, St Pats day was never a big deal, just something for the tourists.

Now I'm hundreds of miles away from my family and my Irish friends. These days, its a time for reflection. Happy memories of my parents, and the craic with Con and the boys.

And as with all reflections, looking forward too and wondering where the fk am I heading? Guess I'll know when I get there. My life feels very up in the air at the moment. Works non existent, my income likewise.

A lots going to change over the next few months, it will have to as I simply cant exist like this. Grim times, but thank god summer approaches.

But the future can wait just a moment, today I'll celebrate the past.
